Chris Odom

Chris Odom is a guitar instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience in the Atlanta area, working with students in person, virtually, and across several studios throughout his career.

A classically trained guitarist with a degree in Guitar Performance, Chris teaches across a wide range of styles, including classic rock, 90s alternative, country, pop, R&B, blues, jazz, and classical guitar traditions like flamenco, bossa nova, and samba. This range lets him meet students where their interests actually are, rather than forcing everyone through the same beginner curriculum.

Chris's own performance background, spanning hundreds of shows, festivals, weddings, and private events across Georgia and the Southeast, including appearances at the Yellow Daisy Festival, Illumine at Oakland Cemetery, and the Alpharetta and Dunwoody Arts Festivals, gives his teaching a working musician's perspective. Students aren't just learning technique in isolation. They're learning what it actually takes to perform, adapt to a room, and hold an audience.

Whether working with beginners, advancing hobbyists, or gigging musicians looking to sharpen specific skills, Chris tailors lessons to the player, not a fixed lesson plan.
